MIDLOTHIAN, TX — During a brief break between Habitat for Humanity projects, several volunteers took the opportunity to lend their time and skills to another nonprofit making a meaningful impact in Ellis County.

Paws for Reflection Ranch is dedicated to fostering the connection between individuals and animals to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The organization serves a diverse range of clients by offering personalized, animal-assisted therapeutic services tailored to each individual’s needs.

Recently, the ranch faced a growing safety concern as the large deck behind its main building had significantly deteriorated. Habitat volunteers teamed up with Paws for Reflection staff and volunteers to tackle the project, removing the aging structure and constructing a new, safe replacement.

The effort was completed over the course of a weekend, taking approximately a day and a half to finish.

Habitat for Humanity is grateful for the opportunity to partner with fellow nonprofits and remains committed to supporting organizations that strengthen the community in meaningful ways.
