Bill serves on the Grant Writing Team, helping secure funding to advance our local mission.

I am a retired lawyer. I graduated with a BA in Psychology in 1982 and earned

my Juris Doctor degree in 1985. I also earned a Masters in Business Administration in

2007.

I was an Army officer and lawyer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s

Corps from 1985 to 1990.

In 1990 and began work at the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. I was an

Assistant General Counsel in Procurement Law for two years, an Associate General

Counsel in Employment Law for 15 years, and Deputy General Counsel for Business

Law for 13 years before retiring in 2020.

I worked part-time at a law firm in Garland for almost three years, mostly dealing

with residential property disputes.

In addition to being on the Board of Directors for the Ellis County Habitat for

Humanity, I am a member of the Waxahachie Rotary Club, the Waxahachie Kiwanis

Club, and I volunteer at a rural high school through Mentor’s Care.

I have three sons: a teacher at Mesquite North High School, a lawyer at an

insurance defense firm, and a Marine stationed near New Orleans. I also have a two-

year-old grandson.
